Ernest Hemingway’s classic novel has been newly adapted for the stage, by CTP’s Charles Roy, to mark the centenary of the First World War. The story, first published in 1929, follows Lieutenant Frederic Henry’s devastating journey through World War I on the Italian front and the cruel effect its violence has on his life. This bittersweet story illustrates the power of love, even in tragic situations, and serves as a stern warning of the futility of war.
