For the first time, CTP presents a modern masterpiece by one of the foremost playwrights of the 20th century, Tennessee Williams. Performed in the intimate setting of the TCA’s Studio Space, Tennessee Williams’ funny and heartbreaking classic helps us to explore different sides of ourselves through the struggles and dreams of William’s brilliantly written characters while asking: What have you done that you are ashamed of? The young, and painfully shy, Laura struggles to make contact with the outside world, her overbearing mother, Amanda, is desperate for the glamour of her past, and her brother Tom, a wanna–be poet and the story’s narrator, is restless for change. Directed by CTP’s Artistic Director Charles Roy, The Glass Menagerie symbolizes our struggle to define our own reality in an ever-changing world.
