M. John Kennedy

ACTOR

M. John is delighted to be playing so many great characters (Polonius, Friar Laurence and Ross) in three exceptional productions of these historic and beautiful plays – Hamlet, Romeo & Juliet and Macbeth.

Last year M. John got to work with some of these same folks on a wonderful production of The 39 Steps and he is absolutely thrilled to join in this Shakespeare adventure.

This season M. John has directed his on stage efforts into Solar Stage (solarstage.on.ca) where he is Co-Artistic Director with his wife, Dahlia Katz. At Solar he played multiple roles in a new adaptation of Treasure Island and had a turn in a ridiculously fun family-friendly version of Krampus.

M. John has toured Canada and the United States extensively, and has spent a few summers at both Globus Theatre (Bobcaygeon), and The Capital Theatre (Port Hope). He has performed in Toronto at The Lagoon Theatre, Factory Theatre, Canadian Stage, Theatre Passe Muraille, and The Second City.

M. John received his BAH from York University and his MA from the University of Toronto. He has trained with Bluemouth, NaCL, The Second City, Soulpepper, Rapier Wit and the Professional Actors’ Laboratory.
